LOADED COALITION TRUCK STOLEN
On Sunday April 22 at 5:00 pm, the truck and camper used at all the
protests staged by the Coalition For No Whales in Captivity outside the
Vancouver Aquarium, was stolen.
Among other things, the truck and camper contained the Coalition’s
banners, protest signs, leaflets, donation jars, bumper stickers, etc.
The vehicle is well known to police and aquarium personnel since it is
used for displaying the Coalition’s anti-whale captivity banners during
rallies held outside the aquarium, such as last night’s vigil for
Bjossa.
We believe this was a job done by professional thieves. We are asking
the public to help locate the vehicle and to keep an eye out for the
Coalition’s belongings, which may have been discarded anywhere. The
contents of the vehicle are uninsured and some of the items are simply
irreplaceable.
The truck is a burgundy 1998 Dodge Ram 3/4 ton extended cab with a 8
1/2 foot Slumber Queen camper off-white with burgundy stripes. Two
bicycles and two white folding chairs were hanging off the back of the
camper.
Your help informing the public would be very much appreciated.
