Senate Move to Save Dolphins
Tomorrow, the Senate will vote on a motion from Greens Senator
Bob Brown to help save 170 dolphins in the Solomons Islands.
" Its desperate over there, " Senator Brown said.
" These beautiful creatures are caged and being cruelly treated
as their captors seek to sell them on the world market. Six have
already died.
They are being held in cages with almost no room to move in the
sun and their own excrement.
" The Prime Minister should act swiftly to ensure their survival
and release back into the wilds. Millions of Australians will applaud
him if he does, " Senator Brown said.
CFNWIC NOTE:
Sue Arnold of Australians for Animals has advised us that this
motion went through the Australian Senate.
