Park Board Tells Aquarium 'No More Dolphins'

If the Vancouver Aquarium wants to get a new dolphin, it's going to have some trouble doing it. The Park Board has put the handcuffs on the Aquarium. The facility wants to get another dolphin to give its current dolphin -- Spinnaker -- a playmate but the Park Board has asked it to hold off on that while it goes over its current bylaw limiting the Aquarium from bring more dolphins in. Annelise Sorg with the Coalition for No Whales in Captivity hopes the Aquarium will abide by the Board's voluntary request. Sorg says, if they don't and bring in a new dolphin, it will show the Aquarium's contempt for Park Board policy. She also tells News1130 it would be political suicide.

Should the aquarium bring more dolphins?
